The Opportunity Funds Association (OFA) has relaunched with new leadership and a renewed mission to support place-based investment programs such as Opportunity Zones. Executive Director Ja’Ron Smith was recently featured in The Washington Times—a piece retweeted by the White House—spotlighting national tax policy and the continued importance of these revitalization tools.

Ja’Ron Smith, Executive Director of the Opportunity Funds Association, is a longtime advocate for inclusive economic policy and a key architect of the original Opportunity Zones initiative during his time in the White House. With deep experience on Capitol Hill and a passion for community-driven investment, Ja’Ron now leads OFA’s mission to elevate OZ 2.0 as a permanent force for revitalization across America’s underserved communities.
